About Manchester ACS:
EMBRACING A CULTURE, REDEFINING A PEOPLE!
We are the joint African Caribbean Society of both University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan University.
ACS MANCHESTER exists for all races, to help inform and cause appreciation for the exceedingly rich diversity of African and Caribbean nations among the student population and surrounding area.
The ACS is also a vehicle for African and Caribbean students at the universities of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan to come together to educate their peers, to network and to appreciate their own great cultures.
The ACS will encourage this ‘culture appreciation’ through a variety of events where we will deliver this rich heritage in an informative but stimulating way for all to share in.
In addition we exist to promote growth both socially and professionally for the African and Caribbean student community and to give a voice to those students.
Membership is encouraged and we openly welcome and encourage all people to join. Membership provides a network and a stronger rapport, as well as providing much needed funds to put on events to a greater and deeper level.
ACS is headed up by an executive of 7. We trust that for however long you are in Manchester to study and maybe even to live, that you will enjoy the role of the ACS in university life!
