We are the international arm of The Prince’s Trust, the UK’s leading youth charity, founded by HRH The Prince of Wales. Since our launch in 2015 we have worked with local partners around the world to deliver tailored education, employment and enterprise innovations that empower young people to learn, work and thrive.
Our content delivery is now present in 13 countries around the world including Barbados, Jamaica; Trinidad & Tobago; Greece, Malta, Serbia; Ghana, Kenya, Rwanda; India, Pakistan, Malaysia and Jordan.
Over the next year, this role will primarily focus on three projects in Jamaica whilst supporting the delivery of the pilot projects in the Eastern Caribbean. This role may take on responsibility for projects elsewhere in the Caribbean in future years as required.
Working alongside partners HEART NSTA Trust, Junior Achievement Jamaica and Jamaica Youth Business Trust, you will take responsibility for overseeing the three projects and supporting our partners to successfully roll-out delivery following the recent culmination of the pilot projects. Key to all our work is ensuring it is sustainable and locally owned therefore a focus of this role will be in building this into the projects in the region.
We want to build a diverse and inclusive organisation that is representative of, and responsive to the needs of the communities we work with. It will therefore be crucial for you to have prior understanding of the youth landscape in the region and youth skills development programming.
In addition to your excellent organisational and project planning skills, you will be experienced in developing and nurturing strong relationships with a range of individuals and organisations - a mix of small NGOs, government ministries and large public sector agencies, with stakeholders including senior government officials, private sector leaders as well as previous programme participants.
