Netflix is excited to share this virtual event taking place on Thursday, October 29th from 5-6.30 PM GMT.

In honour of Black History Month in the UK, this latest episode of DJs & Discussions will feature Adeyemi Michael (Ibeji, Black is Love, curator of the Black History Collection now on Netflix), Adjoa Andoh (Adulthood, Bridgerton) and Melissa Terrelonge (Photo & AV Studio Manager at Netflix), and will be moderated by Anne Mensah (VP, Original Series at Netflix).

Adeyemi, Adjoa, Melissa and Anne will be discussing the importance of multiple narratives and the destructiveness of a single story narrative in film and television that focuses predominantly on pain, violence and catastrophe within the Black community.

The mood of the event will be set at the start with a DJ set by our EMEA Head of Marketing Production Operations, Victoire Mbala, and conclude with a spoken word piece by artist and poet Rhael ‘LionHeart’ Cape.

RSVP via the event page, and please do share with your networks - all are welcome!
